I make three hair gels, Simply Hair Gel, Simply Defined, and Simply Flaxseed. The difference between the three gels is in the strength of the hold. Simply Hair Gel has the lightest hold (and comes in a trigger spray bottle), Simply Defined has a medium-strength hold and is also flax-free and Simply Flaxseed has the strongest hold, though it is still a medium hold hair gel.
I typically recommend Simply Hair Gel for thin or lightly wavy hair. Simply Defined and Simply Flaxseed Hair Gel I recommend for all other hair types depending on personal preference.
When you ship items do they come with compostable packaging of will they arrive in plastic?
Hi Maggie,
Thank you so much for asking. I reuse shipping pillows, bubble wrap, and packaging paper that comes from my friends, neighbors and vendors.
If you’d like to guarantee I do not reuse plastic shipping material in your order please leave a note saying “paper only shipping materials” during check out.
Thanks!

I just found out about you from a You Tube video by Swavy Curly Courtney. She mentions how clean and effective your products are and I would like to echo another of her comments: I would *love* if you sold a hard hold gel…one stronger than Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee or the Matrix one ( but without the flakes). I’d be a customer for life! 💜
Hi Jenni,
Thank you so much for the input! A firm hold gel is definitely on my “to formulate” list, though it’s not quite at the top yet! I’m guessing it will be sometime in 2021 when I can get to it!
I stil have on plans this year a leave in conditioner and hair spray! Dry shampoo is also above a hard hold gel on my to formulate list!
Have a great day!

I try so many products for my thin wavy curly hair but I tried this out last night the flexseed gel and absoulty love it and your price points are amazing too . And I’m so happy it’s all natural as well I’m going on your site again and getting something else to try so super happy with this product .
Is the hair gel a gel to use as a curl definer when you want to air dry your hair?
Hi Julie, thank you for asking! While you could use it on dry hair, it is made for use on wet hair. It would require too much product to get good coverage on dry hair.

What is the best product if you want to air dry your hair and not use a diffuser?
Hi Julia,
They all three would work just fine with a diffuser!!

Can it be used without heat after?
Absolutely! You can use just any drying method you prefer. Obviously, the trying method you choose will alter the end results, but there is no reason not to use your normal routine with any of Simply Curls, Co’s products.
